On Saturday 1st April at 11 a.m. the final launch from Selsey Lifeboat Station's old boathouse took place.
'Voluntary Worker' slid down the slipway for the last time before going on to the moorings until our new
Lifeboat, 'Denise and Eric', arrives at Station sometime in the summer.
A sad but joyous day for us all as it marked the end of an era but also heralds in the start of an exciting time for us here. An estimated three thousand people turned out to watch this historic moment.
